Take Action: Protect Family Planning Organizations' Access To Title X Funds

GCAPP joins the Healthy Teen Network, The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy, and hundreds of other state and national organizations advocating to protect the Title X Family Planning Program.

The Title X Family Planning Program provides important everyday preventive screenings, health education, and high quality contraceptive services to low income women who, in most cases, have no other place to go for health services. Continued funding for Title X is a proven need in Georgia and beyond.
Please join us in contacting Georgia's two U.S. Senators, Senator Johnny Isakson and Senator David Perdue, and ask them to vote against S.J. Resolution 43 if it come to the Senate floor. The resolution passed the House of Representatives last week. If passed by the Senate and signed by the President, the resolution would prevent from taking effect a federal regulation that would prohibit Title X grantees from excluding qualified family planning providers from their Title X networks, or from giving preferential treatment to specific types of providers, for reasons unrelated to their ability to provide family planning services effectively.
