ABOUT THE MOVIE

Two-time Academy Award nominated director Bruce Beresford (Driving Miss Daisy, Tender Mercies), directs Jane Fonda, two-time Academy Award nominee Catherine Keener, Sundance's "breakout star" Elizabeth Olsen, (Martha Marcy May Marlene) and international heartthrob Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl), in a poignant new comedy--Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding.
A heart‐warming portrait of a colorfully unconventional family, Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding tells the story of Diane (Keener), an uptight New York City lawyer who is in desperate need of an escape after her husband (MacLachlan) asks for a divorce. Along with her two spirited teenagers (Olsen and Wolff), she takes refuge at her hippie mother Grace's (Fonda) farmhouse in upstate New York. What was meant only to be a weekend getaway quickly turns into a summer adventure of discovering romance, family secrets, and what it takes to be happy.
