Bibb County has one of the highest STD rates in the state for teens and most are unaware of the potential consequences. Many parents feel unprepared to discuss sex-related topics with their teens. Super Saturday will empower both girls and boys to: protect themselves against STDs, avoid becoming teen parents before they become high school graduates, and think through decisions that often put their health and personal goals at risk. Super Saturday participants can expect workshops about protection, vulnerable situations teens may find themselves in, confidence, good decision making, negotiation and refusal skills, and more.
