GCAPP.org is committed to enriching the lives of adolescents and helping them achieve a healthy, productive future free of early pregnancy. This website provides information on our programs, advocacy work and goals to empower Georgia’s youth to become immersd in education, armed with knowledge and strengthened with the tools to make positive, successful life decisions.
What Information Is Collected. In general, you can visit this website without revealing your identity or providing any personal information. If, however, you decide to participate in certain activities, including our Youth Online Network and our Stay TV video application, we may ask for your name, age, email, and other information related to the activity. As a participant, you may also be asked by us to provide information about your experience with the Campaign (e.g., enjoyment of activities, frequency of participation, project specifics, etc.). GCAPP.org is not directed to children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Should we learn that a child under the age of 13 has provided personal information to us, we will delete it from our database.
How Information Is Collected. We collect personally identifiable information from you when you voluntarily submit it. We do not use cookies or other internal tracking mechanisms to collect any personal information about you. Our web server keeps a record of network transactions in the form of log files, which are destroyed after they are 30 days old. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. Moreover, we do not share or otherwise disclose your personal information to outside parties other than third-party site administrators (for operational and maintenance purposes only). Access to your information is limited to those Campaign employees, such as administrators, who need it for administrative and programming purposes.
How Information is Protected. We take reasonable measures to protect the privacy, accuracy, and reliability of any personal information you choose to provide to us and to protect such information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. We also safeguard your personal information by limiting the number of employees who may access such information and by permitting access to it only for administrative and programming purposes. Please note that while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you choose to transmit through the use of GCAPP.org. We are not responsible for any breach of security or for any actions of any third parties that inadvertently receive your personal information.
How To Update Information or End Participation. You will always have the opportunity to update your information. If you have submitted personal information through GCAPP.org and you would like to access that information, you may send an email to general@gcapp.org. We will use reasonable efforts to supply you with this information and correct any factual inaccuracies that you identify. You can let us know at any time if you wish to end your participation in GCAPP.org activities by emailing us at general@gcapp.org. Within a reasonable time of your giving this notice, your information will become inactive in our database, and it will no longer be viewed, accessed, or used by Campaign employees. If, however, you decide to participate again in any GCAPP.org activities, we reserve the right to access your prior information at the time of renewed contact or participation.
We value our donors’ privacy and the trust they place in GCAPP. We adhere to the highest standards in gathering, using, and safeguarding donor information. This includes all donor personal and gift information.
THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
If you choose to give to GCAPP, you will complete a form that asks you to provide us with your name, address, e-mail address, and gift/pledge information. GCAPP will not rent, trade, sell, or share any personal information about its donors. If a donor wishes to remain anonymous and not receive acknowledgement in the annual report or any written collateral, we ask that the donor indicate such on the form that you submit to us.
ACCESS TO INFORMATION
GCAPP employees who may access your information to perform administrative functions are prohibited from disclosing your information to third parties. Organizations that provide operational or other support services to us must also agree to safeguard your information in strict compliance with our privacy policy.
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place best practice procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect. Firewalls prevent outside parties from accessing our database and internal GCAPP access to the database is restricted to authorized individuals.
Your relationship with GCAPP is voluntary and confidential. We use your information to send you acknowledgement of your gift and information we think you may find of interest about GCAPP.
